Since the dawn of time, there has been an afterlife. All living things, whether they be a mortal, or a deity, has a soul, of which eventually returns to the realm of the afterlife.
Within this realm, there are two worlds; Order, and Chaos.
When a soul enters this realm, they are sorted, and may be cleansed... or burned.
The Guardian helps to maintain this realm.
Without them, the realm will fall, and no soul will be able to move on, whether it be resurrection, moving to the world beyond, or being cleansed in fire where they may be born anew.

All beings, regardless of power, status, or world of origin, must eventually answer to the Guardian.

However... The Guardian has fallen.

Take control of Wish, the daughter of the recently deceased Guardian.
Though she has begun her training to eventually become a Guardian herself, Wish is still young, and her training is far from complete.
As Wish has the mantle thrust upon her, a series of events begins to take place, forcing her to need to learn to control her powers, and her weapons, quickly, as she is the only one capable of performing the essential task.
The border protecting the realm of the afterlife has begun to crack, and Chaos has begun to infect the space around it's world... An event never before seen, even by the gods who reside in the realm.
But is this due to a series of unfortunate events, or is it caused by another unknown force?

A Turn Based RPG Focus on Movement and Patterns
While not a direct sequel, those who played the previous title, 'The Last Lightbearer,' will notice some similarities between the two titles. (You may even see a familiar face or two.)
By observing enemies, you will be able to see both when, and where, their attacks will take place. Everything works in a pattern, but it is up to you to determine the best course of action with your limited abilities.
Swap between front and back rows with proper timing to avoid damage, and maximize your damage output by both evading attacks, and building and spending a unique resource.

There is no basic attack!
Use your available skills carefully. While no skills have a finite amount of uses, most do come with a cooldown, a cost, and often require proper row placement.
Observe the enemy closely. Learn their patterns, watch their tells and status counters. Wish may be powerful, but she is also fragile, and cannot take many hits.
Missed something, or need a refresher? There are in-game pages with information going in-depth with all of the game mechanics you'll need in order to succeed.

Three Game Modes
During play, there will be three modes available for all battle encounters in the game;
Neutral Mode, Safe Mode, and Story Mode.
Neutral Mode will display additional inputs during combat. Succeed with proper timing, and you will gain additional resources, and sometimes damage!
if you do not like this style, or if the inputs are too fast, Safe Mode will bring a more basic feel to the gameplay. It removes additional inputs altogether at the cost of  reduces resource gains. Higher risk, higher reward.
Story Mode will bypass the battle completely, and give a short synopsis of what would have been seen during the combat encounter.
All outcomes will be the same, so do what works for you, and play your way!

As of now (6/2023) this is only the Prologue of the game, which will serve as the playable demo/ proof of concept.  Everything is still actively being worked on.
